Facial Aesthetics

Short answer: Smile Works DentaSpa offers microneedling, PRP, anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers and PDO threads, alongside dental care and with the same team. Dr. Alida D. Jagdeo is certified in facial aesthetics. Because a smile is framed by the face around it, treating both together produces a more harmonious result — and it is done by someone who works with facial anatomy every day.

Dentists spend their careers working with facial anatomy — the muscles, proportions and symmetry that determine how a smile sits within a face. That background is why dentistry and facial aesthetics increasingly belong in the same room.

What we offer

Five treatments, each doing a different job. Which suits you — if any — is what the consultation is for; nothing is decided or administered on a first visit.

Microneedling

Fine needles create controlled micro-injuries that prompt the skin to produce its own collagen.

PRP

Platelet-rich plasma, prepared from a small sample of your own blood and reintroduced to support skin repair.

Anti-wrinkle injections (Botox)

Botulinum toxin, which relaxes the specific muscles that create expression lines.

Dermal fillers

Gel filler used to restore volume and soften folds, most often around the mouth and cheeks.

PDO threads

Dissolvable threads placed under the skin to lift and to stimulate collagen along the thread line.

Prices are not published for these, because they depend entirely on the area treated and the amount used. You will have a written quotation before anything goes ahead.

Why a dentist

It is a fair question, and the answer is anatomy. Dentists spend their careers working inside the face — the muscles that move it, the proportions that make it look balanced, and how a smile sits within it. Injecting around the mouth and cheeks is territory a dentist already knows in detail.

Dr. Jagdeo holds postgraduate certification in facial aesthetics alongside implant placement, sedation, digital dentistry and short-term orthodontics. More about her training.

What a consultation involves

A conversation first. We go through what is bothering you, your medical history and any medications, what each option would realistically achieve, and what it would not. Some people leave having decided against treatment, which is a perfectly good outcome.

Anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are medical treatments, not beauty products. They carry real considerations — suitability, aftercare, and what happens as they wear off — and those are discussed properly before anything is agreed.

Why a dental practice?

Dental training is, in large part, training in the anatomy of the face: the muscle groups around the mouth, the nerves that run through the region, facial proportion, and how the jaws and lips move together. It is also a profession built around sterile technique and detailed treatment planning.

Treating the teeth and the face around them as one project — rather than at two unconnected clinics — means the result is planned as a whole.

How a consultation works

Every treatment starts with a conversation, not a procedure. We will discuss what is bothering you, what you would like to change, what is realistically achievable, and what it involves — including recovery and cost. You are under no obligation to proceed.

Common questions

What does a consultation cost?

Contact us on WhatsApp at 396-8447 and we will confirm consultation details and pricing for you.

Can I combine this with dental treatment?

Yes — that is precisely the advantage of having both under one roof. We can plan dental and facial aesthetic treatment together so the result is coherent, and often coordinate appointments to save you trips.
