A first visit here is deliberately unhurried. It is as much a conversation as an examination — we want to understand what you want from your teeth before we start recommending anything.

What to bring
- Photo identification
- A list of any medications you take, including supplements — several affect dental treatment and healing
- Relevant medical history, particularly heart conditions, diabetes, blood thinners, allergies, or pregnancy
- Previous dental records or X-rays, if you have them and can get them easily
- Your questions. Genuinely — write them down beforehand, because it is easy to forget them in the chair
What happens at the appointment
We take a full medical and dental history, examine your teeth, gums and soft tissues, take X-rays if they are needed, and then talk through what we found. You will leave understanding the condition of your mouth, what needs doing, what is urgent versus what can wait, and what it will cost.
Nothing is done without your agreement, and there is no pressure to commit to treatment on the day. More detail on the first visit.
If you are nervous
Dental anxiety is extremely common and nothing to apologise for. Tell us when you book — not when you are already in the chair — and we will plan the appointment around it: more time, clear explanation of every step before it happens, and an agreed signal to stop whenever you need a break.
Our waiting room has a coffee and tea bar and a living green wall, which sounds like a small thing and turns out not to be.

An examination starts at TT$280 and a digital x-ray at TT$85. The full price list is published, which is unusual in Trinidad, and you get an itemised quotation before any treatment begins.
If you carry insurance we check your entitlement before treatment rather than after — how that works. NIS does not pay for dental treatment; it is a cash-benefit scheme rather than a health service.

What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm — early enough to see us before work. We also open select Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Closed Sunday.

I have a dental emergency. What do I do?
Call us right away on 622-6893 during opening hours — we keep space for emergencies. If you have facial swelling with fever, or difficulty breathing or swallowing, go to a hospital immediately. More on emergency care.
Do you treat children?
Yes — we generally see children from age 3. Wider guidance is that a child should first see a dentist by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth appearing; for anything younger than 3, message us and we will advise.
